Discover: The ACE Basin

The Nemours Wildlife Foundation invites you to experience the ACE Basin! Join a Nemours staff member for a guided tour behind the property’s gates. Visitors get a chance to view managed tidal impoundments, upland pine savannas, and other unique landscapes.

The tour includes:

• A 20-minute presentation about the historical and cultural events that shaped the ACE Basin and the Lowcountry
• A 1.5-hour wagon tour of the property led by a Nemours staff member
• Plenty of stops to enjoy the sights, sounds, and wildlife

While this event is catered towards adults, all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note, tours are weather dependent. In the event of cancellation due to severe weather, the tour WILL NOT be rescheduled. Instead, you are welcome to sign up for the next available public tour.

While the tour is offered free of charge, donations are vital to the advancement of our mission: to facilitate conservation and human well-being in the ACE Basin and beyond through collaborative scientific research, leadership development, management demonstration, and experiential education. If you are inspired to support our mission, DONATIONS of any size are greatly appreciated. Alternatively, cash donations can be left in a donation box located inside the duPont Conservation Hall on the day of your tour. These donations help us maintain the property, fund student research, and offer educational programs (including these public tours!) to the community.

A Note on Registration: All confirmed attendees will receive a confirmation message and email.

To make sure you successfully register for the event, please follow the below steps.

1. Under RSVP here, click on the green button that says GOING.
2. If you are registering for more than one person, change the total guests to the desired number of attendees.
3. Fill out all required fields for each guest.
4. Click the green button that says FINISH. You will see the following message (Your RSVP has been received! Check your email for RSVP confirmation.) when you successfully RSVP.
5. Congratulations, you have officially secured your spot for the event. You DO NOT need to print out the ticket.
