Public Tours and Programs

Nemours invites one and all to experience the natural wonders of the Lowcountry. Join our staff as we explore the ACE Basin together.

Photo Beau Bauer Nemours 4 - Public Group Tours

We offer free public tours approximately once a month. During the tour visitors peek behind the gates and experience the land stewardship, wildlife conservation, research, and education at the heart of Nemours Wildlife Foundation.

Please be sure to check the calendar below to see when the next public tour will happen and to reserve your spot. Tour registration opens one month before the tour date. Space is limited.

While the tours are free to the public, we rely on the generosity of our donors to expand program offerings. To donate, please visit our DONATE page or you may provide it to our Education & Outreach Coordinator at the time of your tour.

What to expect during a public tour.

Each tour begins at the duPont Conservation Hall with a brief presentation pertaining to that month’s tour focus. Following the presentation, visitors board our tour wagon for a driving tour of the Nemours Wildlife Foundation. Our tour vehicle is an open-air wagon with cushioned bench seating. The tour route meanders through a variety of habitats from managed wetlands to pine savannas. Generally, guests have the opportunity to see many bird species and other wildlife on these tours.

Please note that most tours do not include our Ecopasture Initiative, as that area is not along the normal tour route. Occasionally, we will offer tours that focus on the Ecopasture Initiative and visitors will have an opportunity to see our herd of Pineywoods cattle. Details about monthly tours can be found by viewing the tour description.
